Who?
We‘re 3 app makers that have worked together for over 9 years. 👴
We met building Pie, our previous company. We called Pie “delicious chat for work”. After 3 years of baking, we got lucky and Google acquired us! 🎉
At Google the 3 of us stayed close. We joined the founding team of GPay India (fka Tez), a social payments app. Together with a growing team, we ideated, launched, and grew the app to 150 million users. 📈
After 5 fun years we craved something new.
We decided to build an app for people that really love restaurants. ❤️
Why?
Because food excites, surprises, delights, and connects us. It‘s art, culture, entertainment, love, and more all wrapped into one.
Yet when it comes to food apps it feels like we‘ve been stuck in a vacuum of 15-minute delivery boringness 10 years after Foursquare left the stage.
Meanwhile we‘re living in a golden age of restaurant discovery. Everywhere we consume content we get peppered with amazing eats we can‘t miss out on. But how to remember all these places?
Our mission is building a not-too-serious and whimsey app for people to remember their restaurants. To get the most out of IRL.

Drigmo?
Drigmo is an anagram of the French name ‘Grimod’.
Grimod de La Reynière was a famous dandy of gastronomy and the world‘s first restaurant critic. In 1803, during the reign of Napoleon, he wrote L‘Almanach des gourmands which is considered the earliest restaurant guide.
Besides once faking his own death to ensure his friends would show up to enjoy his funeral banquet, Grimod was also the inventor of a culinary creation he called “rôti sans pareil”. This unparalleled roast included nesting 17 boneless birds inside each other.🪆
